Mousumi Hamid is a popular model and actress in Bangladesh. She stepped in the media as a contestant of Lux Channel I Superstar contest, where she was the 1st runner up. She gets nationwide popularity by performing with Akshay Kumar in a Live Show in Dhaka. Since then she became a popular face as an actress too. Her fame is not only in Bangladesh, she is also a popular actress in West Bengal as well.

 

Early Life:

Mousumi Hamid was born and bought up in Tala, Shatkhira. She passed SSC and HSC from the local school. After her HSC, she moved to Khulna for graduation in Management Studies from Azam Khan Commerce College. Afterwards, she moved to Dhaka for pursue a career in media.

Career:

Mousumi Hamid first caught media attention as a top contestant of Bangladeshi Beauty Lux Channel I Superstar 2010. After going through days of hard work and different levels of talent analysis, she was crowned the 1st runners up of the contest. She got nationwide popularity by performing with Akshay Kumar in a Live Show in Dhaka. After that she started acting in television dramas. Mousumi Hamid first acted in “Bangla Amar Matrivasha”. Though, it is not marked as her debut tv drama, because her another drama, Mostafa Kamal Raj’s “Biyog Fol” telecast before “Bangla Amar Matrivasha”.

She played a vital role in a mega drama serial “Roshini”, which is being aired jointly by Channel I and ETV Bangla (West Bengal). This serial is a huge hit in both of the Bengals. Her notable tv dramas are “Capsule 500mg”, “Jol Chobi”, “Metro Life”, “Nurjahan”, “Dead End”, “Terminal”, “Boiri Batash” “Varsity”, “Denmohor”, “Juwa Rashi” and “Generation Next Dot”. Her talent made her one of the most popular actress in Bangladesh in recent times.

However, Mousumi Hamid has interest in acting in movies. She is now working in a movie, Animesh H’s “Na Manush”. She is also making a cameo appearance in an item song of Biplob Haider’s Film “Feel My Love”.
